Entrepreneurship and Courage

Lean More About Entrepreneurship and Courage

I recently read that Walt Disney had put this high on his list of requirements to be a successful entrepreneur. Let’s face it this is a man who created an amazing empire from a cartoon mouse!
The first consideration is this – if you are currently employed, or were most recently employed and now have decided that you would like to have your own business, do you have the correct mindset?
When you are employed there is normally a regular paycheck at the end of every month. Depending on the job and your level there may be other benefits like medical insurance, company car etc.
When you become your own boss, these financial responsibilities are firmly on your shoulders. The issue is how will you react and cope with times when the cash flow into your business is not enough to cover your personal costs, and the costs of those who may work for you

Lean More About Entrepreneurship and Courage

This is really where courage has to come to the fore. When things are going well, life and business seems easy, but when conditions are adverse, that is when courage is needed.
It is also required to commit to new products, new markets, major expansion etc. Obviously it is not the only quality required to be a successful entrepreneur, but a highly essential one.
